Pakistan has introduced a new branch within its military structure, called the Army Rocket Force, also known as the Army Rocket Force Command. This development was revealed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a prominent ceremony in the capital city, Islamabad. The declaration was made on August 13, 2025, at the main Independence Day gathering, held a day before the nation’s 78th Independence Day celebrations. The event took place at Islamabad’s Jinnah Sports Stadium, also referred to as Jinnah Ground. The newly formed unit has been tasked with overseeing and managing missile operations during conventional military engagements.
