The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 61 Ukrainian drones overnight. The incident occurred between 23:00 Moscow time on August 3 and 05:20 Moscow time on August 4, 2025. Russian air defence forces shot down 18 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and 12 drones over Voronezh Region. They also downed 11 drones over the Republic of Crimea and 8 drones over Belgorod Region. Six Ukrainian drones were destroyed over Volgograd Region, while two drones were intercepted over Bryansk Region and another two over Rostov Region. One Ukrainian drone was intercepted over the Moscow Region, and another was shot down over Ryazan Region.  Today's morning on Sunday, 22nd December 2024, a jet fighter F/A-18 Super Hornet of US$55.7 million is mistakenly shot down by USS Gettysburg - a US Navy guided missile cruiser, in a friendly fire over the Red Sea during ongoing operations against Yemen's Houthis. Both the pilots safely jumped from the destroying aircraft and have minor injuries, US Central Command (CENTCOM) admitted, and trying to find out the reason of this serious mistake.
