According to a press release issued by the US Secretary of Defense - Peter Brian Hegseth, US President Donald John Trump has fired the following US Generals on the evening of Friday, February 21, 2025: 


Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Principal Military Advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense and National Security Council Mr. Charles Quinton Brown Jr.



Chief of Naval Operations Ms. Lisa Marie Franchetti



Vice Chief of Staff of the US Air Force General James C. Slife



Judge Advocate General for the US Army General Joseph B. Burger III



Judge Advocate General for the US Navy Rear Admiral Lia M. Reynolds



Judge Advocate General for the US Air Force Lieutenant General Charles L. Plummer


The newly appointed generals are as follows:
